What's New in XPlay 2.3.2
XPlay 2 features a variety of improvements over the original XPlay:
- Most activities are significantly faster
- Interaction with an iPod containing thousands of songs is dramatically faster
- Addition of Genre and Composer folders in the XPlay music folder
- Support for M4A (AAC) files
- Support for Audible spoken-word files
- Support for automatic WMA-to-MP3 file conversion (may require additional software)
- Display and selection of album art images
- Display and tracking of play counts
- Customizable column displays in Explorer
- Update and restore new iPod models
- New support for Windows XP task panes provides familiar and intuitive navigation
- Improved support for international characters in file names and tags
- When MP3 and Audible file tags are modified, changes are committed to the files so that they are maintained if the songs are ever copied off of the iPod
- Additional song properties available
- Auto-completion of tags when editing song properties
- New Jump To option in song context menus
- Automatic integration with color schemes of Windows XP themes
- Support for Explorer Thumbnails and improved Tile views with Windows XP
- XPlay occasionally reminds the user to check for updates
- Revised, reorganized and generally-improved documentation
